So here it is, the final part of Le Tour De Poker promotion…

As you earn VIP points you will progress further on the custom map provided in your Player Admin.
You will see your own progress in the race marked by the yellow bike on the track, and you will see the position of the top 10, as well as 50th place marked by a flag on the map. The leaderboard only pays out the first 50 to finish the race and only VIP points earned between Saturday 3rd July 00:00 and Sunday 25th July 23:59 count, so make sure you stay ahead of the 50th place flag and complete every stage to ensure you get your chunk of the cash!

To get racing all you need to do is click the “Join the Race” button at the top of the page. So what are you waiting for? On yer bike!

Poker End Of Month $20.000 Freeroll

Hello, in the last post I forgot to mention the big $20.000 Freeroll.

So this is how it works…

This freeroll will be open to all players who have completed at least 1 stage of the race between the beginning of the promotion period (Saturday 3rd July 00:00) and the end of the promotion period (Sunday 25th July 23:59).

You will be allocated 500 chips towards your starting stack for every stage of the race you complete in the promotion period.

End of month $20,000 Freeroll:
Saturday 31 July at 15:00.
To Enter: Earn at least 1000 VIP points between Saturday 3rd July 00:00 and Sunday 25th July 23:59.

Extra information:
You will be allocated 500 chips for each stage of the race you complete. Each stage is equivalent to 1000 VIP points.
By the start of the day on Friday 29th July you will be issued an entry coupon for this freeroll if you have qualified for entry.

Loose Vs Tight Poker Play

Know the differences of a Loose and Tight Poker Player

A definition of loose or tight play in Texas Hold’em is like describing what a beautiful lady looks like.

Namely, the explanation is in the eye of the beholder.

A general rule would be:

A tight player starts the hand with a high pair or with A-K.

A loose player would start the hand with low cards or unsuited K-4.

The tight player raises when he feels he has the advantage.

The loose player may raise more often than he should.

He may call too often on the possibility of an inside straight or full house draws.

Typically he plays too many hands which depend on luck to win, rather than play according to what he currently holds.

Both types of players can hurt you, but the fight player is probably easier to play against.

You can usually identify the tight player from the flop and the betting.

The loose player is not easy to read as he may hold anything at anytime.

It is his unpredictable play which makes him more dangerous in many hands.

He may not flod when bet against, like the tight player would.

The loose player may play for the miracle draw and when he gets it, he puts a bad beat on you.

The tight player will only raise when he thinks he has a sure thing.

This gives you an advantage as you can get cut of the hand or at least nor re-raise.

Loose players have a small edge, when they raise, you don’t know if they have a hand or are just trying to win by betting.

Since their starting hand can be any two cards, an odd flop may fit their hand very well.

This makes playing a big pair against them a more risky proposition than it would be with any tight player.

Loose players are great pot builders, since they are likely to call bets more freely.

In the end we can summarize all this into Play Strong, not weak and above all PLAY SMART!.

For example if you want t register for the 11:30 tournament at 11:00 you need to earn the 150 VIP points in the 24 hours of the previous day plus the 11 hours of the current day combined, giving you a total of 35 hours to earn the points.
Buy-in: 500 VIP Points

Seats in these $100k Player Qualifiers will be limited so register early.

You may register for all 3 tournaments in a day so long as you have met the qualification requirement.

Earn 45,000 VIP Points

If you’re able to earn 45,000 VIP points between 12:01am April 15th and 11:59pm May 29th you’ll receive a seat directly into the $100,000 Freeroll Main Event.
